In yet another sign of the dynamic developments in the Polish automotive industry, the major European automobile manufacturer Volkswagen has announced plans on setting up a new plant for the manufacture of industrial and commercial automobiles in Poland.
The plant, which is expected to be fully functional by the start of 2018, will employ over 3,000 people. It is expected that the manufacturing facility will be constructed with an investment of € 800 million. The high quality of the Polish workforce, the comparatively cheaper overhead costs in Poland as well as excellent transportation and infrastructure links to other E.U. member states have made Poland into an attractive investment destination in Europe.
